February 2021 | Playlist of the Month

I think this playlist is one of my most played ones. I don't know, I just like the overall vibe and flow of the songs. Of course, this lot is for the 'high-in-love' ones out there since these songs were released in February.

Some highlights:

• The "At Your Best" Cover by Sinead Harnett is such a nostalgia trip. Aaliyah was the original performer of the song so I know have heard of this song somewhere in the late 90s or early 2000s from my older sister's playlists. It's such a nice, chill track. I should check out Sinead Harnett's other songs.

• "Pretty" by Col3trane ft. Mahalia is a constant repeat song for me this month, together with Faouzia & John Legend's "Minefields" duet.

• 88rising is really loving Filipino talent. Well, maybe half of it, in this case. Still, I am glad to be introduced to Guapdad 4000. He's giving me big Kendrick Lamar vibes. • That freestyle-dancing dude in the "Black Rain" music video? That's Aaron-Taylor Johnson, the nerdy lead guy in the Kick-Ass Movies.

• They say music is a universal language. I have felt that when I listened to Lous and The Yakuza's Tiny Desk (Home) Concert. All-out French songs but the talent.. it's filling up the room. Magnifique!

• If I could go to the beach right now, I would sit by the shore and listen to "Body & Soul" by Jason Dhakal and LUSTBASS.

• BTS' "Fix You" rendition. Period.

Just a head's up though: don't watch the music videos if you're in the office or somewhere public. One or two of the videos get real raunchy and explicit. 👀
